IEEE Transactions on Haptics Posters & Oral Presentation
Authors of articles recently published in the IEEE Transactions on Haptics (ToH) are invited to present their work either via posters or oral presentation. Authors can select their preferred format during submission. The final presentation format will be determined based on the author’s preference and whether the paper has been previously presented orally. This is a great opportunity for journal authors to engage with other scientists and reach a larger audience.
Important Dates
- January 31, 2026 (11:59 pm AoE): ToH poster or oral presentation submission deadline
- February 12, 2026: ToH poster or oral presentation acceptance notification
Participation Criteria
- The invitation is open for all articles that have been or will be published in the
IEEE Transactions on Haptics
in 2025 (Volume 18, issues 1-4) as well as ToH articles that become available on IEEE Xplore via
Early Access
prior to the application deadline.
- Articles reporting research that was presented at a conference in an earlier form may (and are encouraged to) participate. However, manuscripts that have been presented during a ToH poster or presentation session at a prior haptics conference (e.g., World Haptics 2025) are not permitted to participate.
- At least one of the article’s authors must register for the conference by the early-bird registration deadline (February 16, 2026).
Submission Method
- To participate, one author must fill in the
application form
by 11:59 pm AoE on January 31, 2026. Please coordinate the form submission with all paper authors to avoid duplicate submissions.
- In the unlikely event that there is insufficient space, articles published in 2025 will be given priority over Early Access articles.
- Acceptance will be confirmed by February 12, 2026.
Presentation Instructions
Oral Presentation
ToH papers selected for oral presentation will be presented during one of the regular conference oral sessions on Monday–Wednesday (March 30–April 1).
Each ToH Paper is allotted a 12-minute talk followed by a 3-minute Q&A. A 2-minute buffer is provided for presenter transitions.
Presenters must deliver their presentations from their own computers to avoid formatting issues. An HDMI connection is available in every room. Although a limited number of HDMI adapters will be provided on-site, presenters are encouraged to bring their own to ensure compatibility.
Presenters are advised to arrive at their session room early to test the connection with the projection system, particularly to verify video playback. On-site technicians will be available to assist with any technical issues.
Please consult the detailed conference program for your presentation time and venue. We recommend checking the online schedule periodically during the conference for any last-minute updates.
Poster Presentation
ToH posters will be presented through both a short teaser presentation and a poster. Both parts will be held jointly with the Work-In-Progress (WIP).
- For the teaser presentation, it will be a 45-second lightning talk, optionally accompanied by a one-page slide. If you choose to use the slide, please email the PowerPoint file to
toh@hapticssymposium.org
by March 27, 2026. The teaser session will take place from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30.
- For the poster, it must fit within a portrait-oriented rectangle with dimensions of 36 inches (91.44 cm) in width by 48 inches in height (121.92 cm). Poster design, style, and formatting are at the discretion of the presenter, though presenters are encouraged to include the conference logo. Presenters are responsible for printing their posters. The poster session will be held from 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. on Monday, March 30, in the Sage room. You will receive your ToH paper ID later, and the posters should be placed on the corresponding poster board according to the assigned ID before the poster session on Monday.
